FEDERACION LATINOAMERICANA DE AIKIDO (FLA).
According to the expressed before in its original act, the LATIN AMERICAN FEDERATION OF AIKIDO (FLA), wishes to contribute and has likewise intention, to support the general activity of the Hombu Dojo of Tokyo (AIKIDO WORLD HEADQUARTERS) in the regions that conform it, being integrated by organizations related to the Hombu Dojo of Tokyo and the Aikikai Foundation of Japan.
In the same way, given its roots, the conception of Aikido, its philosophy and way to act, is clearly influenced by the traditional lines of the Aikido context of the UESHIBA family, and it is identified with that perspective in mind.
The Aikikai Foundation of Japan was recognized by official organs, in 1948. In 1940, the Kobukai Foundation was recognized, and in 1945 was worldwide reorganized as the Aikikai Foundation.
These organizations developed their activities during the life of the Founder, MORIHEI UESHIBA, later to continue the stage of great international expansion under the direction of the second Doshu, KISSHOMARU UESHIBA, which impelled the birth of important institutions, like the International Federation of Aikido (IAF), whose first meeting took ahead in Tokyo in 1976.
Also, in the United States of North America, the Aikido Federation of the United States arose (UNITED STATES AIKIDO FEDERATION - USAF), under the presidency of YOSHIMITSU YAMADA SHIHAN.
From there, Aikido organizations arose everywhere in the world. Nowadays, they are dojos of Aikido in 70 countries of the world. The popularization of Aikido also touched Latin America, until the creation of the LATIN AMERICAN FEDERATION OF AIKIDO (FLA), which officially took ahead on April 21st 1996, in the city of Caracas, capital of the Republic of Venezuela.
Our organization is identified with the traditional line of Aikido, since its birth, to work and to initiate its development in the reporting line of the Founder of the Aikido, MORIHEI UESHIBA.
