WHAT'S KI?

Literally KI (CHI, in Chinese), means energy. The Word "KI" is used frequently in aikido and some others martial arts, even in ZEN.

One of the objectives of aikido is helping to discover the way to fill our body of "KI" and to use it correctly.

The vital KI or energy is born from Seika-Tandem, which is located 3 inches below the belly; it is the original fundamental energy, the manifestation of the subtle energy that penetrates the universe and gathers all the manifestations, visible or invisible. Using the KI is fundamental to obtain results in very diverse fields, and mainly in the one of the martial arts.

Like O’Sensei says: “If there is no KI, there is no Aikido".
